Layered Shrimp Dip Recipe
~ Colorful and Delicious ~

A creamy shrimp dip recipe that makes a colorful and delicious addition to any entertaining menu.

Shrimp Dip

Serve with toast, crackers or vegetables.

Serves 8 to 12

Ingredients

Substitution

Yogurt cream cheese makes a lower calorie dip:

8 ounces yogurt cheese (labneh) = 8 ounces cream cheese

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 250 grams
  • 1/4 cup sour cream 50 ml
  • 1/2 cup seafood sauce 125 ml
  • 4½ ounce can shrimp, slightly mashed 114 ml
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice 5 ml
  • 3 Tablespoons chopped green onion 45 ml
  • 3 Tablespoons each chopped green and red pepper (optional) 45 ml
  • 4-6 olives, sliced (optional)


Directions

Beat cream cheese and sour cream until fluffy.  Spread on a serving plate.  Spread seafood sauce over cream cheese.  Sprinkle shrimp over sauce.  Sprinkle lemon juice over shrimp.  Top with green onion and add peppers and olives if desired.  Serve with crackers or vegetables.
